  • Mopar recruits 50 training schools

    FCA US has recruited 50 technical training schools from across the country to train the next generation of automotive service technicians for its U.S. dealerships. Through its program, Mopar CAP (Career Automotive Program) Local, the company will continue to grow this network of schools in the U.S. Ultimately, FCA US would like to have more than 100 certified training sites across the country to help its dealerships combat the industry shortage of service technicians.
  • CTC Earth Day event draws animals and humans

    The Auburn Hills Complex auditorium turned into a small zoo, as well as an exhibition center of displays and information booths to celebrate Earth Day. Among the animals on display that could have helped fill a small “ark” were a sloth, a variety of bats, a skunk, flying squirrels, bald eagle, owls, hawks, a kestrel, turtles, star fish, sea lamprey and a boa constrictor. More than 40 local organizations and businesses set up displays and booths to share information.

    Belvidere Assembly Plant employee Karen Macki was named United Way Coordinator of the Year by the United Way of Rock River Valley in Illinois. “This award is a reflection of the dedication and passion Karen has,” Tomasz Gębka, Plant Manager–Belvidere Assembly Plant, said. “I appreciate her constant motivation and tenacity. She has a great team that has helped make the plant’s United Way campaign effective. Karen deserves this award.”

  • Mopar opens new parts distribution center in VA

    April 18, 2017
    FCA US officially opened a new Mopar Parts Distribution Center (PDC) in Winchester, Va. The 400,000-plus square-foot facility represents a $12.2 million investment by FCA US and will create more than 70 jobs over two shifts. The facility is the first of two new Mopar PDCs scheduled to open in the United States this year. FCA US and UAW leadership were joined by federal and state government dignitaries and dealership representatives in marking the Winchester PDC grand opening.
