Getting Wet and Wild with FIAT 500
February 14, 2014
Most vehicles are adept at driving on land, but the FIAT® brand has taken their vehicles up a notch, taking on not only land but also sea. First shown during its “Immigrants” TV ad, vehicles joyously cliff-dove and leapt into the sea to make their way from Italy to the U.S.
Next, this concept was brought to life by introducing FIAT 500 personal watercraft at various events in cities across America.
During Vans U.S. Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach, Calif., three specially constructed FIAT 500 models built on top of high-powered personal watercraft entertained surf fans during the opening day of the competition.
Next along the iconic Chicago waterfront, the Italians kept on coming with four specially constructed FIAT 500 models, including the all-new FIAT 500L, built on top of high-powered personal watercraft.
Following the windy city, the personal watercrafts made their way to warmer waters, taking cruise control to a new level when a fleet of FIAT 500 personal watercrafts ushered the luxurious Italian cruise ship MSC Divina into PortMiami.
During the voyage, a Rosso Brillante (metallic red) FIAT 500 was loaded onto the ship to accompany the MSC Divina across the Atlantic Ocean. After 18 nights of gliding across the pond, the MSC Divina arrived on U.S. shores, escorted by a fleet of FIAT 500 personal watercrafts.
Traveling in style has always been at the heart of the FIAT brand. Now that’s what we call la dolce vita (the good life)! Checkout the footage on all of these voyages here.
